NCCHT holds virtual seminar with OCCI

The National Committee for Combating Human Trafficking (NCCHT), in collaboration with the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry (OCCI), organised a virtual awareness seminar on the forms of human trafficking and ways to combat it.
The seminar, held as part of the NCCHT’s annual training plan, was attended by 40 members of the Chamber and focused on raising awareness about the dangers of this crime while highlighting best practices and relevant legislation to combat it.
NCCHT holds seminar with Justice Ministry

The National Committee for Combating Human Trafficking(NCCHT), in collaboration with the Ministry of Justice and Legal Affairs, organised a seminar on “Human Trafficking and National and International Efforts to Combat This Crime.”
The seminar, which targeted 80 employees from the Ministry of Justice and Legal Affairs, is part of the NCCHT’s annual training plan aimed at raising awareness about the dangers of human trafficking and enhancing understanding of the legal, national and international efforts to combat it.
The seminar included discussions led by specialists from the Foreign Ministry, the Royal Oman Police, and the Ministry of Social Development. They reviewed the legal framework and challenges associated with combating this crime, emphasising the importance of cooperation between local and international entities in this regard.
National Committee to Combat Human Trafficking meets

The National Committee to Combat Human Trafficking (NCCHT) held its regular meeting led by Sheikh Khalifa Alharthy, Chair of the NCCHT and Foreign Ministry Undersecretary for Political Affairs.
The meeting reviewed the Committee’s achievements to date, discussed updates on implementing Oman’s 2024–2026 National Action Plan against human trafficking, and assessed progress and feedback.
Member agencies also shared their efforts and activities to raise awareness of the importance of combating the crime of human trafficking.
Workshop for Human Trafficking Trainers

The National Committee to Combat Human Trafficking (NCCHT) has launched a workshop to develop the skills of individuals from various Government institutions to empower them as specialised trainers who can then train others in combatting the crime of human trafficking.
The week-long workshop, organised in cooperation with the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime, is called “Training of Trainers in Combating Human Trafficking,”
The workshop began on Sunday October, 20 and will run until Thursday October, 24.
The workshop forms part of the annual training plan of the NCCHT, which seeks to enhance the capabilities of national cadres in this field.
It also forms part of Oman’s efforts to activate the Sultanate’s commitment to international standards for the protection and promotion of human rights.
Workshop for Public Prosecution
October 10, 2024
The National Committee for Combating Human Trafficking (NCCHT) held a workshop entitled “Investigating Human Trafficking Crimes” held on Thursday, October 10, 2024.
The NCCHT workshop was made possible through cooperation between the NCCHT and the Public Prosecution.
The workshop addressed the challenges related to investigating human trafficking cases and highlighted the collaborative efforts between the relevant authorities to strengthen the implementation of relevant laws.
A total of 17 members from the Public Prosecution took, as part of the National Committee’s annual training plan.
Workshop with Omani judges
October 9, 2024
A workshop entitled “Human Trafficking Crimes: Between Legislation and Application” was held in Muscat on Wednesday, October 9, 2024, with 16 distinguished Omani judges taking part.
This took place as part of the ongoing cooperation between the National Committee for Combating Human Trafficking (NCCHT) and the Supreme Judicial Council.
The workshop addressed the challenges associated with combating the crime of human trafficking and highlighted the efforts being made to enforce the relevant laws.
The workshop was part of the NCCHT’s annual training plan.
Workshop with Health Ministry
September 10, 2024
The National Committee to Combat Human Trafficking (NCCHT) and the Ministry of Health, held a workshop entitled “Indicators and Combating the Crime of Human Trafficking”, on September 10, 2024, The workshop held as part of the ongoing cooperation between the NCCHT and the Health Ministry, addressed the different forms of human trafficking and how to spot it.
This workshop, part of the annual awareness raising plan of the National Committee, targeted 70 doctors and specialists from the Ministry of Health.
Workshop with Ministry of Social Development

The National Committee to Combat Human Trafficking (NCCHT) and the Ministry of Social Development, held a workshop on the different forms of human trafficking and how to identify this crime. “Indicators and Combating the Crime of Human Trafficking.” The workshop was held as part of the ongoing cooperation between the NCCHT and the Ministry of Social Development.
This workshop, part of the annual training plan of the National Committee, targeted specialists in dealing with victims of human trafficking at the General Directorate of Family Development at the Ministry of Social Development.
World Day against Trafficking in Persons

The Ministry of Social Development, in partnership with the National Committee to Combat Human Trafficking, held a ceremony to celebrate the World Day Against Trafficking in Persons. The ceremony was held under the patronage of His Excellency Sheikh Khalifa Alharthy, Foreign Ministry Undersecretary for Political Affairs and Chairman of the National Committee to Combat Human Trafficking.
During the ceremony, the efforts made by the relevant authorities to combat the crime of human trafficking were reviewed, and participants from various government agencies, civil society and individuals who contributed to the efforts of the committee were honoured.
The ceremony was attended by Sayyida Maani bint Abdullah Al Busaidi, Director General of Family Development, members of the committee, and representatives of the diplomatic corps and civil society.
